Children in Need Day
On Children in Need day – Friday 18th November, Y6 pupils, organised an amazing Fun Day to raise money for Children in Need.
Year 6 pupils, with support from many other pupils, organised a wide variety of events including a sponsored walk, cake stalls, guess the number of spots on the cake, hook a duck, football and basketball activities.
Pupils arrived at school in spotty outfits for the ‘Spotacular’ event and took part in sponsored walk around the playground before spending their pennies at the exciting stalls set up in the hall. One of the more popular events was soak the teacher - Year 6 teacher Mr Smith and School Principal Mrs Breedon, found themselves in the stocks having wet sponges thrown at them!
School Principal, Becci Breedon, said she was extremely proud of all the pupils who took part and was especially impressed with the organisers who spent a huge amount of time and energy organising the Fun Day. They even attended staff meetings to share their ideas with the teachers.
